I talked to California Car Cover Co. today to see if they could make some custom floor mates for the lightning. They said Ford has not released the copyrights for the Lightning Logo but that they could embroider any words or letters (2in high) we wanted on the mat, such as Lightning or SVT. I have some of their other products and they have been very good quality. He said depending on how many people wanted them, the cost would be about $58 bucks, regular price would be $70. We can get the mats and lettering in individual colors too. So if you wanted to have the lettering match the color of your truck you could. If anyone is interested, please respond and we can discuss what we want. Jeff

 

I would if I knew what Logo. Black/ Silver logo would be 1st choice.

I guess we need some color choices and wording. Since the Lightning logo design is copywrited then how about the words---LIGHTNING or SVT LIGHTNING what do you guys think?

 

Like the original post said, they cannot print any of the Lightning logos, they can print any words we want though such as SVT or Lightning. Their print is 2 in high and we can have them print in block, script, or italic. They normally place the print about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom so your feet rest above the script. They said we can put it anywhere on the mat though. Maybe down the side like the F-150 logo is. Jeff

 

I would be up for some mats with the SVT logo in capital-italics, just how it is everywhere we see it.

Are there any owners that would like a black mat with the SVT logo in silver? It might look good since the rest of the interior is a silver/black combination. I just can't keep silver mats clean...

 

Just got an email back from Sylin Concepts. They already sell Ford Floor mats for Ranger, F-150, expedition, Explorer etc.

They stated - Since they already make Ford mats there shouldnt be any copyright problems

I would think to put the logo on the side of each mat so when entering the L you would see it at the door edge. (I guess like the F-150 mats)

 

Yep, I'm in. My choice would be the same color as we have for the mat with an outlined SVT in black.

 

If we had to all get the same probably gray mats with silver lettering saying "Lightning" or "SVT Lightning" in script I think would look nice. We have a million adobe and true type fonts to choose from. I'd like the lettering in RED to match my truck. Some might want black, white, or silver lettering.
