Just want to say thanks to everyone for the advice & horror stories some of you have had. I don't know how some of you were able to control your anger after being so particular with your vehicles just as I am & to have some idiot do that just ain't right. I think I might try touch up paint first & if it doesn't look right I'm heading to the bodyshop & I will be talking to the guy who did this & he will be paying.(one way or the other)

I think you should poke his eye out, but only after he pays to fix it.

Had my truck keyed what..like 2 weeks?? after I got her. Damn near like to kill me. Got it fixed, matches perfect. Only cost 250.00.

Just wondering what I should do.
KILL HIM???

Not really, just kidding.

About six or seven years ago, I was setting in my truck, a little Ranger, at a convenience store when a guy pulls in close to me and opens his door, slamming into my passenger door. I get out, holding my temper, and ask the guy why he hit my door. The rube denies the whole thing and is drunk to boot! As I was packing at the time, I made a vague comment about what an @sshole he was and that he needed his @ss kicked badly and then I started to walk away. I felt like giving his car the same treatment, although he probably would not have noticed as his “wheels” were a POS, but I did not want any trouble. As the old saying goes “Discretion is the better part of Valor”.

Seriously the best advice, especially if the guy works with you, is to tell him that you want the ding fixed and you want his insurance company to pay for it. If he wants to keep the insurance company out of it, he can pay cash. If he refuses, drop the issue.

By the way, do you know what five or ten mothballs down the ol’ gas tank will do? Pay me now or pay me later!

A couple of years ago a similar incident occurred, except with a little twist. I had taken a friend, going through a divorce, out to lunch. This individual was extremely fatigued and when he exited my Lariat he dinged a co-workers new Lariat door, and he did not even notice it, but I did. I could have moved and parked in another area but I knew the person that owned the dinged Lariat. I had to belly-up and tell him, and pay for the damage. It’s the right thing to do.
