Angry Lightning meets escort

I went to a birthday party/cookout today & had just gotten out when this guy who had parked beside me had to get back into his car. He goes and lets his car door slam right into my left rear fender. (there was plenty of room between the two vehicles for this not to happen.) After I tell him about it he never says he's sorry or anything the whole day. I say that's how people get hurt. I know it's probably been discussed before but I don't have too much time because where his door hit my fender it took the paint off right to the metal & left some of his paint on there. Just wondering what I should do.

Logicaly
Get his insurance policy then file a claim wiht his insurance to get your truck fixxed. Take a picture also.

You can also take a phsyical extreme and kick the crap out of him. But theres no reason at this point plus you can get into trouble so keep your cool and let his insurance fix it.

Get it fixed and give him the bill. After I calmed down I would have made sure he understood that right then and there!

Its too easy to get screwd over that away. But if you know the guy pretty well then you can do it that away.

It just so happens that he works at the same place I do.To make it all worse his girlfriend goes & tells him to get a red magic marker & fix it. I had thought about using touch up paint cause it's only about a quarter inch long at the most & it's on the edge of the fender just before it starts to wrap around into the fender well. Just didn't know how it would hold up & what ford part# if any cause I didn't want the parts department to try & give me another shade of red. Thanks again for any thoughts or info on what I should do.

I suggest you have it professionally repaired by one of those dent wizards and make the MORON pay the bill. Discuss it with him first without letting the temper interfere (do as I say, not as I do...).

Paintless dent removal companies can airbrush touch up paint and then polish it smooth, it sure looks a whole lot better than that fingernail polish junk. Sorry about the opinion being inserted there, but I have seen some real screw-ups with that stuff.

And if he doesn't foot the bill, take a hammer to the same spot on his car. Thats what I would do, especially if he didn't say sorry or anything.

You may take it wrong, but in my world its an eye for an eye.

1BADL Sorry to hear that, and I know what a b*#%h it is. I had my L one friggin week, when I go to the laundrymat early on saturday morning. I park w-a-y at the end of the lot taking up two spaces. After i load the dryers, Iam standing by the door and what do I see? But some clown pulls up right next to me. Opens his door not once but twice into my pass door. I cant believe this and charge out the door looking for a fight. Well I get 10 feet out the door and I get a clearer picture. The man 60/70ish is getting his walker out of the cardoor. I stop in my tracks and to make matters worse, he is in his American Legion uniform. I turn around and go back into the laundrymat biting my tongue, figuring he's been thru enough in his life and maybe he might be one of the few that makes it possible for me to enjoy my L in this country. I know this doesn't help you, but hope you get a chuckle out of it, cuz I laugh at it now, a year later.

Hey 1BADL:
Sorry about your bad luck. It will work out though.Well a little experience that happened to me in 93 might make you feel better..mabe.
In 93 bought a new Black state police mustang and put headers,exhaust...everything on it...well it had bad clearcoat so the dealer (had to fight them on this) gave me a check to have the pony painted at a place of my choice....so went to a friends body shop and had 5 coats of 56 ford police black and 3 clearcoats plus hand rubbed each time (took 5 days)....what a absolutely beautiful paint job!!!. A week latter went to a SEARS store here in Athens at noontime(parked 2 blocks from any other vehicle)..was in Sears for less than 7 minutes....went outside to get my pony and somebody had KEYED the ENTIRE passenger side of the car TWICE !!!!I went into a RAGE but nothing i could do...the person was long gone....And some people wonder why we need birth control in this country!IF i would have caught him I'd still be in jail....so cheer up...it will be ok.

I always take 2 parking spaces. I know this pisses people off so I also usually park as far away as possible, AKA all by myself.

Just to make you feel better....I had my entire truck keyed at 600 miles. $3300.00 whole truck repainted. Paint came out great. Insurance company was very cooperative.

Everyone that goes by where I work can tell if I'm there or not because the can see the red L parked all by itself in the back corner of the parking lot. I know you can't always do this, but when you can walk the extra distance.
