Just thinking out loud...
Where are we gaining by relocating one of the rear shocks?
Is it turn-in or transitions? If the truck turns better to one side, which is it? The Lightning is already damn good at sweepers.
I understand that moving them outboard, would make the dampers more effective against roll, and mounting them vertical would eliminate the arc. Has anybody garnered any real evidence suggesting the symmetrical relocation to be conducive to handling?
Other than placebo, what am I missing?
And whose stock diff works well, in tight right-handers? Mine does not! Tru-Trac on the *long* list.....

on a side note, I put one of those little twist in spring helpers in each coil and gained about a 1/4 inch of front ride height i am now at 16.75, but the longer energy sus. bump stops i put in have less than an inch to the lower arms....guess i have to trim them a bit. I also think I may go to click #2 on my front Koni's, and will be ordering shorter rear koni's and converting them to heim mounts, I found some rear that are 18.7 max 12.28 min length mount to mount as opposed to 24-14, I may be able to ditch my extenders with these shocks as well as run the heim's.
Track beast how much travel do you have out back you may need a longer amount of shock travel as it is proportionate to angle.
e.g. 3 inches of upward travel of the axle with the shocks at 45 degrees only needs 2 inches of shock travel......

Dude you're hilarious.......brakes and suspension I can do but I left the TT to a pro at a race shop....also needed him to make a custom center puck to reduce axle endplay to less than .015 thou, to accomodate the rear brake setup. you will love it when you get it......install should run about 400 including bearings and shims.

I have plenty of length for the rear shocks. I have the Mustang length QA-1s with the heim kit. I will have plenty of travel in the rear by design. Without the stops, I will have over 4". Can't say exactly right now without the weight of the box. Everything is fitting really well. The Hellwig rear has just been flipped and fits perfectly that way. Never liked the way it was sitting before. I always felt that it was binding. Will take a gew pics on Friday.

Hotchkis hps1000 are unknown but considerably firmer....due to the higher rate spring and lack of travel.
I currently have my konis on setting 1 which works out to 1200-500 (rebound is the only adjustment but bound ends up raising a little, and is still a bit soft, I was planning on going to click 2 anyway which would work out to 1500 - 550 so the 1450-750 on setting 0 should work great, a middle road between f-150 spec koni and hps1000 stiffness. this is a bonus as my primary reason was length but the 1450-750 should help control the movment better (spring travel wise and roll resistance as well as axle wrap)

I am not posting part numbers till I blow my cash to test them, as for the rears they are fine with socal extenders and a mild drop, I want to do heim's and more drop there are not even close to an f-150 app but "MAY" fit I have to have them shipped in from Holland as they are not stocked in the usa normally. I will let you know how it goes.
