Post Had a run in with local Police

I'm sitting in my driveway installing my totally jimmy rigged keypad actuator, when, a Lincoln Park cop pulls up in front of my house. I look over at him and say "Hey, how's it going" he asks "How do you like your Lightning" I say " I LOVE IT" "It does 13.60's what's to dislike" He says "Yeah, I gotta' 93" I say "Great" he says "I live two streets over from here" "Wow, I've never seen your truck" He leaves his car running and gets out and says "Mind if I check it out?" I say "Sure, be my guest" He says "This has a lot more room than my Lighting, this is nice" He asks to hear it run and check out the motor. I fill him in on all the mods and what's what in the engine bay. "My name is Mike" we shook hands. Just as I was showing him my keypad mod, he got a call on his walkie talkie and said "I gotta' go. It was real nice meeting you...I'll bring my 93 by sometime" I say "Great..I'd love to check it out" he says "Only has 6000 miles on it" I say "Wow, can't wait" he asks "Maybe we can take a ride in yours" I say "No problem" and he's off to cap some asses. Nice guy, maybe I can get him out to Milan soon.

Test No 1. in how to tell if your neighborhood cop is cool. Tell him he can drive your L if you can drive his squad car.

Only if you get to run the sirens while driving, a test of true freindship.

Do you think he'll let you strap those lights to the top of the L? Talk about hot pursuit!

Speaking of the cops…..

Anyone have any ideas if there are any special mods to the 5.4l engine that is in the black & white F-150’s the TDPS is using?

I live 1 hour north of you. The DPS trucks here in my area use the 4.6L, a mechanic was telling me that they have some police package progammed in the computers. i dont know how much of a difference it makes. Sorry i missed meeting you at the Texas Heat Wave i was busy walking around.

I REMEMBER THE LAST TIME A COP DID THAT, THEN HE ASKED ME IF THE TRUCK WAS STOLEN AND PUT MY HANDS BEHIND MY BACK

BadBolt,
I had a similar run in with a local cop. I was sitting at a stop light waiting to turn left when a cop in his patrol car pulled up and began revving his engine. I looked over and he said "wanna run em?" I didn't know what to say, he said "just kidding, I don't feel like getting smoked today" I was like that rocks. We talked a little about the performance and such, then the light changed.
Fun day.

OK

So, here's the deal, I get to drive his patrol car while he eggs on an R/T at a light. When the R/T goes for it, he will spank him and I get to pull the R/T over lights/siren and issue him a POS violation and a additional underpowered truck citation. He said "You can also use my 12 guage Remington 870 Express to blow each and every one of his tires out, for good measure while telling him not to mess with da Lightning or da law.
