Post Any one seen the Black Xtra cab with Lightning Emblems ?

I was on 35E going North when I passed a Black Extra cab with SVT F-150 on rear and Lightning emblems on the side. He also has his headlights blacked out, and pirate front plate. Wonder how he answers the obvious questions ....

I noticed littleredL's post about getting his Lightning badges ripped off. He's from Texas too. Damn big state and how the hell are you going to prove anything, but it does make you wonder where he got 'em.

You can buy them from most any dealer for $15.95 each.

Auto

It cost me close to $900. I would compare the warranty diff between 3.73 and 4.10. I am relatively sure I would have done one or the other eventually.... Especially since Ford is supposedly going 3.73 in 2001.

I just never had the chance to compare seat of pants diff of gears by themselves. The important thing is that I love the street performance of the L the way it is and there will undoubtedly be a tweak or 2 left in me....

Did you ever get a hold of that guy for Roush? If you were still into doing that. Let me know when you are going to go out to the track. maybe I'll tag along. Where's moonshine I have'nt seen any posts from him in a while......
I should be getting my wheels for the slicks this week and the Johnny L kit next week. So I'll be ready to go out to the track after that so I can get a new best.............

Never heard back from Roush.... You ordered the ram air kit ??

Cool

Havent heard from Moonshine in a couple weeks,

Cool

Ya I ordered Johnny L's ram air kit. mainly because 110 deg is a little hot and the L runs like ***** when its this hot.
I'll let you now about his kit.
Did you want the roush kit soon or just looking into it? If you want it soon then I can stop by there and see if I can get some info. They're not far from me, and I really have nothing to do today. I had jury duty yesterday so now I'm just milking it out....

I really want details of options, costs and Warranty issues. I havent decided yet if I want to lower it, but I would like the handling improvements. It is likely number 2,3 or 4 on my list of mods.

If all it is is springs and shocks those are EASY bolt ons...... Mine runs ok in the weather even though we know it will run much better in October.

If you are going to be around send me an email - dougboss@svtlightnings.com and maybe we can meet for Lunch.....

Alright I went over there and they said the only way to get ahold of him is by phone at (972)335-5000. By the way the name of the place is Creative Custom at
6901 Russell Curry Rd
Arlington, TX 76001
if you need to call them talk to Mike Klement
at (817)516-7076. They had a sweeettt looking super crew cab with the Roush kit on it. It was nice........
I don't think the springs are easy, but I thought you got sway bars also. I could be wrong. If you need more info let me know.

Talking

Doug -

That is the shop that did my suspension. Springs and shocks were $1,500.00. Labor was $250. They shouldn't charge you more than $3K (yuk-yuk). Mike is a good guy. After the installation, the truck has to be taken to alignment shop just around the corner. It took pretty much the whole day.

Yuk - Yuk this !!!

I have a call in to Maximum Altitude off road. They have a cool 16 " lift for Lightnings..... It retails for $4000.00 but I am getting it for $5500.00. Once I get the lift installed if I lose a race I can squish you like a bug afterwards.....

Then this mod will be next

Mark, Doug, I'm still alive. I'm just on vacation this week, so I haven't been on the board much. Mark, I'll be curious to hear how you like the Ram Air kit. I'd like to see it after you get it installed.
