"Blue Oval VD"

That's great.

MRBBQMAN, did you coin that one?

One more for my mental library of terms (right under Dinosaur Oil)

fakefvc,
I'll be in College Station the week of 7/16 - 7/21 for fire training. Maybe we can hookup and take a ride in the "L". I'm sure you can scare up a race or two around there. I really want to try a few laps on the high banked oval there but I'm sure they won't allow that.

Cool

I've got a deposit on one, can't decide if I want to sell or keep the ZR1. I'm running out of garage space!

Nice article in the current Autoweek. Looking forward to reporting the performance to the forum from the perspective of an L owner.

Sounds Great, SVT54SC
Your bringing your L right? Cause I only have a "regualr" F-150. You will be staying on A&M campus, right? If so, I live on campus, and I'm only 5 minutes walking distance from south side were ya'll stay. I have a few buddies that own L's here. We will all have to get together and meet at sonic for a burger and chat. E-mail me when your fixing to come, so I can give ya my phone #.

Talk to ya later

Buddy

SVT54SC-
If you're coming into town, let one of us know. We can meet up and hit the Chicken or something for a few coldies. My email is duck01@tamu.edu and I check it daily.

Many of us Lightning owners have other interest other than just the L. Some of us have GM's and Mopars too, big deal we are all here to share info. Good post KnightS.

Saw a Cobra R in Dealer showroom yesterday. Had about a $55K price tag (included $3K gas guzzler tax) plus a $10K Dealer mark-up. That is a lot of money for a Mustang.

My Lightning salesman got a chance to drive the Cobra R and says he was not impressed at all with the acceleration. He was expecting a lot more performance.

I guess for another $10K or so more you could by a new Viper.

This is directed at f1car. I have a LS1 corvette and a Lightning so I post at both boards and stick up for the Lightning on the LS1 board and stick up for the Corvette on this board when someone talks trash about it. I would love to meet you with my LS1 to make your record 100 and 2. It seems I read a post from you on either LS1.com or the corvette forum saying how you beat corvettes all the time. I have both and no way is the Lightning gonna come close to the LS1 six speed corvette. If you have only been beat once why do you need 900 hp? You sound like a little kid yahoo racer to me!

hey bad pit lets stick 1500 lbs. of dead weight in the front seat of that vette and see how fast you go. real impressive. pound for pound the lightning is a much faster vehicle than the vette. it must be pretty embarrassing to think that a lowwwly ol pickup truck can stay right up there with americas favorite sports car!
