Post Twin Turbo kits for F150's,Hmmmmm

While at a car show Thursday evening someone from a local speed shop(along w/ other show organizers) was putting fliers in all the cars in the show. This particular speed shop seemed to cater to GM cars and trucks, but upon closer inspection I saw that they were offering Twin Turbo Kits for Ford F150's! They were boasting 550 ponies from said kits.
Price range is $4500-$6k...For kicks I think I'm gonna have to go check out this shop.
Hmmmm. TT Lightning??? Naaaaaaah

Sounds like a lightning eater. Watch out for lots of HEAT!!! They will need huge intercoolers, waterjacket on the turbo, inconnel exhast manifold, oil cooler, transmission cooler, heavey duty transmission(kind of like Lightning stuff except even more cooling). All for $6,000 ???????????

Who was that high performance company that came out with the twin turbos for the Corvette? Hennessy or Lingerfelter? But anyway I read they were also putting them in the new Chevy trucks as well. So maybe a F150 someday??

Ford makes twin turbo Mustangs & Single turbo Expys for the Middle East. They have high Octane leaded gas there... They are available from the dealers on that side of the world. Made for desert high speeds. I don't have any information to share that would help you or I would have one on my truck... The parts would be a bolt on though.. imagine 18-20lbs of boost..

Locox,
GM (Detroit Diesel) makes supercharged & turbocharged 2 stroke diesels. As far as 4 stroke gas, I don't think so.

Cool

As per June 2000 Motor Trends Truck Trend, John Lingenfelter built a twin turbo (Garett GT turbochargers) 3/4 ton Chevy Silverado 4X4. His best 0-60 time was 4.68 and best 1/4 mile was 12.93 @ 105.51. O yeah that was $30,000 worth of mods to an already $35,000 truck! I'll take my $29,995 Lightning any day of the week. Just my .02. :-)))
