Just got back from Sals website and he added a whole NEW BBS.As of 2:45 pm today the system was up and running. Sals answering tech questions and has a topics to include- check on your orders, etc.

I just checked it out. Real nice site, same format as this site but Lightning specific. I like it.

 

When I was attempting to put Sal's website on my desktop I inadvertantly put in on as wallpaper. When I boot up, the black (best color) L with flashing lighting and a pegged speedo in on the desktop..kewl

 

Leave it to me to find out last. The site is awesome, looks great.

When I originally posted the lightning picture (the one Sal uses on his site) I put it on my desktop also, but I replaced my startup .wav file with this one: http://www.milleniamusic.com/bolt.zip
(just download it and unzip it)and rename the
bolt.wav file to whatever *.wav file your computer plays on boot-up. It adds so much more! Have fun, and feel free to edit the wav file as you wish.

I think it's great that Sal has setup this forum for his customers and Lightning enthusiasts, seriously.

Now he'll know what it feels like to run popular message boards, complete with other chip vendors, problem customers, Mad, etc.

Good luck Sal, considering the customer service you have given people on these message boards, I think you've bitten off more than you can chew. Only time will tell, of course.

Good luck (honestly) with becoming "THE HOTTEST SOURCE FOR LIGHTNING CHAT AND INFORMATION." I know that this is probably a shot at F-150 Online (which I don't consider the "hottest source..."), especially considering some of the messages that have already been posted there.

In all seriousness, I do encourage all the Sal zealots (and, of course, the LS1.com morons, the Mad's of the worlds, etc.) to take advantage of this resource, no kidding.

Since I don't have a Lightning, it may not be relevant, I have the Hypertech for my '97 5.4 and am happy with it. I also have a Superchip waiting to be installed, but with 92 octane gas at $1.60 per gallon here in Atlanta, it may be a while before I install it...

Sal used this place... and did pay any dues.
Now Sal has a board for himself, ok great, now ask yourself why he has a board?
And you can bet your bottom $425, that it is for profit. Why didn't he use the NLOC.org board?
I can not wait for other vendors to find that board, and are brave enough to post on it... Wait till mad finds the board...

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it. Perhaps there was a little sarcasm, but that's what drinking a couple of Logan's Roadhouse Teas will do to a guy.

FYI, I never claimed anywhere to be a "Good Christian." But the simple statement that his board wants to be the "hottest source" sounds to me like he wants all the Lightning owners from here to migrate there, as do you I suspect videoman.

And boo-hoo again to Sal. Some of you seem to think that he was just abused while he was here. Let me remind you that he DID make money as a businessman and I agree with SilverBullet (did I just say that??), he did use this place.

And I am sure there are more than a few people that are happy to see this thread pushed to the top once again so his site is easy to find.

Oh, and the reality is that his BBS is now a "competing" board, should I be happy to see a link to it posted here? People leave here to use that board, pageviews go down here, revenue decreases. Yep, I'm in favor of that.
