To all Illinois area Lightning owners.

I met RobG Sunday at a local SVT vehicle show. We discussed trying to get a group of Lightnings out to Byron Dragway all at the same time. We have tentatively scheduled the outing for Saturday August 5th, and or Sunday August 6th. If enough of us get together, we could form our own club as did HALO. We could call our club something like ILLNESS(Illinois Lightning Lovers Needing Excessive Speed Stimulation). Let me know if anyone else can make those dates. Hope to see you all there. Boy, will Lisa ever agree with that name!!! I'll check my schedule and see if I can make one of those dates, (Sunday only, LaMaze(sp?)classes Saturdays for me). Sounds like a good time just waiting to happen!

Bob would really like to make it, but will be on my way to Sturgis. Hey I am going to return my temp chip to Sal for my flip chip but would like to get a 4way only $70 to upgrade but what other programs would I get?

Am I missing something or are there NO maps or directions on Byron's website? I kinda' thought that would be a dandy thing to have on there. The photos of the pavement are nice, but I was hoping to find directions and see it in person.

Byron is the orange dot between Rockford and Rochelle. If you get into Byron you won't have any problems finding the track. Just roll your windows down and listen. If I remember right it is just South of state route 72, just west of the river. I'll get you better instructions before then.
