Beautiful truck. I like the wing, but the license plate bracket has to go.

Question

I have a question...mabye a stupid one...
does the cervinis ram air hood have actual holes for the air to flow...or do u have to cut them? also if it has holes...isnt bad to have water flowing right onto the engine. I realize water comes up through the grilles and bottom also, but just seems like i wouldn't want my engine snowed into? Am i just paranoid?

Rich,

That is one baaaadddd Lighting. I need to get me that L bumper for my Expy. And that billet grille looks awesome.
Do you know if I can put that hood on a 98 Expedetion with the same OEM holes as the factory hood? I have been wanting to put an aftermarket hood on my Expy, and that cervinis is the best looking one I have seen. How much did it cost you? Thanks

Robert

I saw TBL's truck in person tonight and the picture is nice but believe me it doesn't do justice to just how nice this truck really is. Rich has done one hell of a job putting this together.

Thanks, everybody... I'm really pleased the way it all turned out.

Rick(Hwy_2_L): Thanks, man... Check's in the mail.

Prime: I think white would be awesome. Don't keep us in suspense.

drcarrillo: I believe that the F150 and Expedition are exactly the same hood. You may want to verify w/Cervinis. Cost of the hood was 469.00?

SelOne: The holes are funtional from the manufacturer. I closed them for the reasons you mentioned(except snow). I used frosted plexi-glass but may change that later.

Rich, you dah man!!! I wish I could wake up in the morning and have my truck look like that. The thought of going through all of the aggravation and time gives me pause. It reminds me of the zillions I have spent to mod out my scooters. At least I was not giving up my daily ride to do so. Awesome!

Sandy:

Thanks, man. Plenty of time and aggravation, that's for sure.... But it's all worth it when it's done.

You know, you're not to far away. Maybe we can all hook up at the next show?

It comes white gel-coated. My paint guys raved about how near perfect it was. Most fiberglass pieces need alot of work before painting.

The hood actually weighs 2-3x what the stock hood did and bolts onto the stock hinges perfectly.

Paint shouldn't cost more than $300.00+- if you finish both sides like I did. Depends on the body shop, though.

Rich, I would love to see that beauty in person, but then I would have a hard time not owning something that looks like that. I didn't like red when I saw them, but I would trade mine for yours, and pay you the difference this afternoon. If interested, I'm only an hour and a half away.
