Talking New Carpet & Mats

Check it out . Sweated like a pig today putting it in, but the charcoal carpet really sets off the seats don't you think?

Pretty nice. Where did you get the carpet and how much is it to do?

I think it looks a heck of a lot better than what the rest of us have. Did you have to use flat carpet or did you use molded F-150 replacement from one of the after-market companies? Who? How much? Do they offer different grades of carpet?
noelvm
ps did a quick search and found http://www.autocarpet.qpg.com/ car carpets. I'll bet our carpet is the same size and style as a regular F-150 and therefore probably available from Ford in the charcoal color if you want to pay the Ford markup. Other sources are probably cheaper with the same or better quality.

Auto Custom Carpets out of Anniston, AL is where it came from. It's an OEM replacement, but doesn't have as much padding or reinforcement at the seat bolt-on locations. Not as good a fit as the original, but not bad. Carpet and embroidered mats were about $225 if I remember correctly. You can probably get similar quality and price from most aftermarket places.

Rila

Do you have any clearer pictures ?? It just looks dark on this old laptop

Cool idea especially since the stock mat is staining the stock carpet...

Doug -

I didn't want to show you this view for two reasons.

1) I don't think it's much better.
2) It reveals my new secret weapon GO_RILA Racing competition Bean-bag bucket seat. It weighs 2 1/2 pounds and is very easy to install. Comes in basic black with three different density levels of packing peanuts. I think I can get us a group buy going.

I also am putting together a "Drag Racing Survival Kit" that has some nice items that you will find very useful when visiting the 1/8 in Denton.

Oh, I forgot. I wasn't going to say anything about the stain in your carpet, I just assumed it was from something else.

Just as a thought, since my L is red. What do think about red carpet to jazz up the otherwise dull interior.

yeah man! red carpet is kewl.. red **** carpet would be sweeeeet!
then you could get some of those dingle-***** to hang around the inside edge of your winshield. like the ones on those lowriders. (red of course)
then some red sheepskin seatcovers, and steering wheel cover..
wow, the possibilities are endless....
there's all kinds of matching accessories too... red fuzzy dice, red seatbelt pad, maybe some red window tint!

well, that was all for fun, please dont get mad at me.
you'll have to excuse me, i'm about to go wrap my seats in aluminium foil. (to match my silver bolt) :O

OK Doug. Like most start-up companies these days, we seem to have come out with a product before the sales plan has been put together. I will get to work on it this evening and let you know when i'm done. Just to let everyone know, I have a real job and I cannot promise how quick I can get the race kit into production (sound familiar?). We, however, will be happy to take your money in advance. We promise to return your e-mails....

.
.
.
eventually.

Right Doug?

If the interest were there I could set up a Auto responder in a couple days. Most of that time would be spent waiting for DNS changes when I changed my Web site to new provider....
