New LED lights...

So I'm a bit of a freak about the lightning on my truck having experimented with dozens of combos over the last 5 years to get something I truly liked the look of. I've finally came across a quality LED blinker replacement and I have to say, these bulbs are awesome. They're available in a slew of color combo's. I picked "white" for parking light with "amber" for the turn signal. (You could get all amber or all white as well) I've got them in a replica-2002+ turn signal enclosure with a white (instead of amber) reflector:

The white and amber ones I bought are legal. The basics are required to be met, and some states have additional varying laws on lightning, but the gist of it is,

For Turn Signals:
"Turn signals are required to blink on and off, or "flash", at a steady rate of between 60 and 120 blinks per minute. FMVSS (federal law) stipulates that AMBER is the only "legal" turn signal color (white is not legal, though tends to be looked over)."

For Parking Lamps:
"The front position lamps may emit white or amber light in North America; elsewhere in the world they must emit white light only."

So the white/amber combination I bought is 100% legal. Make sure to get an LED-resistance based flasher or somer resistor packs so that they do not blink too quickly. Wether it is an LED or Incandescent does not matter as long as it is bright enough. The link was posted up above, but here it is again:

Are they brighter than the stock incancescent bulbs? I purchased some LEDs a while back and I removed them due to safety concerns because it was hard to see them during the day. They do look pretty cool and not bad at $20.

I have not compared them against a regular bulb. The test they passed for me was you could see the amber turn signal during daylight. That's all I needed.

Redundant if you got my PM, but which resistors did you buy for the LED markers?

Thanks

I've got four 15-20Ohm 25Watt resistor packs, one on each light...but I bought mine way before any of the other options existed. These days I'd probably just be the low-resistance relay, it makes life MUCH simpler if you know you're doing all four bulbs.

I am pretty sure we just need the EP27 5-pin relay for our trucks.
