Question To those with Thunderforms a question.

I am seriously thinking about getting a thunderform box but am undecided if I want to go with the 10" MTX subs or get an empty box and get my own subs. Are they that good? What is the power handling. Quality? Thanks for the replies.

Snake:

Order the Thunderform box empty. I'm not really satisfied with the MTX subs. I think you can find better out there.

The Thunderform itself is awesome though.....

Do you have any opinions on a better sub? I have been out of the stereo stuff for quite sometime. Where did you run the power feed to your amp? Are most of the wires hidden from view? Thanks.

I personally am satified with the Loaded Thunderform.
But if I were to do it again, I would buy it empty, and add two 4 ohm (wired for 2 ohm Load) (prob MTX) and a JBL Mono Sub amp. The current set up with two 8 ohms requires power to run strong and clean, and to get that power in a 4 ohm load it cost alot.

Snake:

I hope to replace my current MTX 10" subs with either Infinity Kappa Perfects, Polk Momo or JL Audio subs..

Just have other projects to finish first.

Just installed a single 10 inch JL sub in a custom box right behind the driver's seat. Very impressive, I highly recommend.

I am still waiting on my unloaded MTX box. After years of putting together different systems in various vehicle ranging from sedate to insane, I would recommend buying it unloaded. You can do far better then the MTX drivers. I am considering RFs which have served me well in the past or possibly Bostons.

I am getting ready to install my Thunderform. I am going to put 2 JL Audio 10W3-D4's in as soon as my shop gets them in. JL reccomended the W3's for the air space in the box. I'll let you know how it sounds.

Ok folks, where are you ordering your Thunderforms from? The Circuit Cities here in Tucson are too confused to order one for me....please help, and post your prices too. Thanks.

Here's the link to Cruthfield's site. They're out of stock but you could probably order one from them anyway.

Hey Bob

If you are really interested in getting it from Circuit City I can see about getting on Special ordered into that store for you.
I am a sales manager in Fl but I can order them into different stores from my location.
Email me your info and I will see what I can do for you.
