Out of over 100 cars,I won.It was a long day.My truck was absolutley amazing and I am proud of the old boy.I ran in the MOD class and the Street class.I won the street. The Mod class will continue tomorrow.I have already run my 3 qualifying runs and am dialed in at 13.18(1 tenth under my best).I already won 1 eliminator round.Im sure Im not gonna beat the guys who run this all the time but it is fun and a good learning experience.Ive never run a pro tree before and my best R/T is in the 9s which from what I hear isnt bad for beginniners but it will not compete no matter how consistant my truck is.I will be listed in the FFW paper w/picture and have a 3ft trophy.I am happy.

 

Congratulations,L'Quick! I bet you are on cloud 9 right now, with every right to be there. Did you happen to run any other Lightnings there? What did you beat in the last round? By the way, thanks for the info on the white Lightning I was asking about. Obviously my wife's cousin didn't ask many questions or look too hard. Again, way to go!

 

4 lightnings running 13.4s-14.3s.i never raced one.i ended up racing mustangs only which is common.97% were mustangs.Thanks!

Yes,I had the white truck with the chrome wheels and grey tonneau.I was not the one that was all TWEAKED with weld wheels and mods up the butt.I actually ran alot better than him this time but he told me he has run a best of 11.91 on the bottle with MUCHO MODS!in Tenesse.He follows the FFW nation circut.He was running MOD MOTOR .I ran MOD MOTOR AND STREET FORD,I was car #811 SF/MM.I have to say i kicked butt all weekend.

Just goes to show,The right mods do the trick better than alot of the wrong stuff! I am so happy. SO MANY people took pictures of my truck including the major mags that were there and TV.Im sure you guys will see my truck in a couple of mags and or TV.Thanks for your support guys!Lightning stuck twice but a lttle too good....See my next post

 

yeah the weld wheels looked stupid...and what was up with the red L with all the decals down the side? ..you did kick butt ..he's not just tooting his own horn...i liked the guy with the old style dually L.O.L.....

The guy who put all them lightning bolts on his truck was kinda arrogant.I have seen him there before running a best of 13.6s.He has a sean hyland chip/FULL bassani/weird air intake W/mass air flow sensor.I tried talking to him brfore but it was like I was wasting his time or something??Then saturday he kind of loosened up then sunday back to the same old little attitude.He did have one KICK A$$ 2000 saleen though.It was the yellow one!! One car I would give up my lightning for (NOT) But it would be a close call
