Between Longview and Marshall, Texas. The HALO Club is planning a trip up to Hallsville for a Saturday at the races. Sure would like to see some of the North Texas area Lightning,s there. We will be staying at the local motels in Longview on Saturday night. I understand the track opens at 3:00 for Saturdays event, so we will be driving up early Saturday morning to Longview, getting our rooms, and then to the track.
Mark your calendars and come join us, the more there the more fun it will be.

Are you north Texas owner ashamed of your trucks? Is Dallas / Ft Worth to far to drive from for some Saturday Drag Racing? You won't be going to Ennis that weekend, their closed getting ready for the NHRA boys that are coming. Wes? Can't you get anybody in your area stired up for some fun in the sun? I really thought this would be a good idea for some Lightning owners to travel and get together for some meet'n greet'n.

Whether I can go or not, I will vouch for the quality of this track. It's ~2+hrs east on I-20 towards Shreveport. East Texas is nice. The track is small, but is prepped well and its 1/4 mile.

If I can make it, I will be there!! I'll be awfully tempted to tow my LX, though, b/c the track is _that_ good. Hate to miss an opportunity at some quality runs in my hot rod.

Hey Doug,

I am planning on making the trip to Hallsville. I have a buddy going also, and he's going to drive my Cobra out there (or whatever he wants to on the trip). I haven't raced that car at Hallsville yet, and would like to get a couple of passes in it.

We're going to be leaving from my place ~11:30 or noon on Sat., and then driving back home that night.

So, I'll be in my white '99L next to a black '96 Cobra (big 315/35 rear tires on wide wheels...other than that it appears stock ).

Hope you can make it.

Andre, do you know if they'll just let us make Test N Tune passes or do we have to enter a bracket class?

Don't know for sure, but most tracks will let you make test n tune runs during time trials, and or in between elimination runs. I will call and ask though.
