I'd contact them direct and see if the pricing listed online is correct, I read reciently about someone that just had theres done there, member SW Thomas I believe and I remember the pricing being well below that.

That was the price given to me when I called on the phone, not a price looked up on the net. The trans was ~$3100, the TC was ~$1500 and install was about ~$700.

LOL. Thanks! But this is the whole reason I am looking for something less expensive. I sure wish CT was closer. I'd love to have you put in a LFP rebuild kit.

JJ@WMS can get ya a level 10 for about 2,000. That is without a tq converter. I believe he quoted me 2,200 or 2,300 for one installed, and thats swapping my converter over to the new tranny. The LFP rebuild kit looks good also, and Matt had good luck with it on numerous 10 sec passes. Low 10's if I'm not mistaken. Matt, what would be a good price for someone to install the LFP rebuild kit, since you have first hand experience?

I'm going Matts route, LFP kit and a Pro Torque, why? because I know it works Matts run deep into the Ten's on his combo without issue, that good enough for me.

Heard of few folks running LFP's kit. with no issues. Problem is...finding a "reputable" tranny guy to do the install.

Here also is a good option. http://www.nloc.net/vbforum/showthread.php?t=144623 this is a friend of mines. He doesn't care if your tranny is bad or not. He just needs a core to go to BTS. Plus you get the torque converter with this tranny.
