Air/Fuel Readings?

What differences in A/F readings can you get between a wideband installed in your truck and a sniffer in the tail pipe that the tuners often use on the Dyno?

after a good hard pull on the dyno most of the o2 in the cats is burnt off and tailpipe readings will only show a point or two different...so I have been told by my tuner.

So, you can have a reading from the sniffer @ 11.8 and your built-in wideband could read 10.8 more fuel?

No, after a pull or two the sniffer should be within 0.2 of the wideband.

As I recall there's some really good accurate tailpipe sniffers out there - such as the Horiba unit - but they're really expensive.

George...I have asked around and most tuners don't use the tail sniffer anymore.
