Back up lights

A WAG is A "WILD *** GUESS"…
Have you checked for current, at the socket, most of the time the socket had ionization (rust) inside of it.
Stick a pin on the hot wire and see if you are getting any current.
I’m unsure on the F-150, but on some other models the contact point is on the shift selector lever. However I would follow the back up wires and see where the harness connects and try to check for current on the harness plug ins.
I would check the shift sensor as a last resort, also check the hot side of the fuse, to make sure you are getting juice to the socket.
Once more this is just a WAG……
