Post Gauge Pods

What is everybody using for pillar gauge pods on their 'Ls?

All I have seen so far are black ones. I know there is a "group buy" on the 2 gauge but I understand the color is not a good match.

Will the 2 gauge fit under the handicap handle?

jarmstro - There is currently a GP on a three hole A-pillar replacement (should be in design/production). Lo-Tek already has a two gauge A-pillar replacement on their web site for the L. According to FordSales Lo-Tek now has the color thing worked out (if not perfect, at least close enough). Don't know about the fit yet as mine has not arrived. Tampabay Lightning has an add-on two gauge pod in his but he has a 99 and there is no Oh ***** handle to deal with. I don't believe that there is room for a two gauge pod under the handle in the 00 but I could be wrong. If you go with one of the black add-ons you should be able to paint it to match if you can find the right color paint. A good bodyshop should be able to match it for you.

Rick,

Thanks for the reply. I understand Lo-Tek did a poor job of matching the color and in addition the fit was somewhat crappy.

I think I will go to dealership and order the pillar for the driver side for the '99 'L
and just buy a 2 pod mount from one of the magazine.

Good idea about the paint.

The light gray color is used on most f150s and should be available in a spray can at the auto parts store. Be sure it is for plastic as it will expand and contract correctly. All you really have to do with the pillar is clean it really good with wax and grease remover which you can also get at the auto parts store and then paint it. The 3 pod is in development at Lo-tek and they now have the correct color paint. I have mentioned the fit to them and they are looking at it. You can still get in on the three pod group buy if you want. Go to the group buy heading and follow the instructions.

I received the 2 pod and the color match is pretty good now.

I was told that I would be able to exchange my two for the three when they are finished but I'm waiting to see if the fit on the three will be better
