Tundra, your correct about the performance dropping off at the higher altitude. It's all a matter of density altitude. The more air density, the more efficient the burn in the chambers. I estimate for every 100ft in altitude, 1 tenth of a second would be lost. Coming from bracket racing for 2 years, a buddy of mine would calculate the air density each round, to adjust his dial-in. Which worked most of the time, kicking my azz each event! Here's the conversions if your interested. http://www.calgarydragracing.ab.ca/weather.html

P.S. Love your video clips there Tundra. That guy in the C05 Vette must really hate himself.

Look at it like this:
0+8=8
1+8=9
If you start with a higher pressure your going to end with a higher pressure.

Then you can look at like this, you bring in 1 cubic foot of warm air, compress it and heat it while doing so and you get say 8 psi out of it. You bring in 1 cubic foot of cooler air and compress it as it heats it expands to a greater volume thus giving you a higher pressure at a lower temp. as an end result. Engines like cooler air and the more air volume/fuel you get in the cylinder the more HP your going to get out of the AF charge.

Thats what I was trying to say. If the Ram Air as absolutley no effect on performance (I doubt so), then you would gain from atleast the cold air. That means 20-30* temps for me!

F\fordification, Glad you like to videos, should be more late this weekend...

Yoda, I can't wait to see the pics, I live pretty close to Home Depot, and Lowes. If its gonna be a while, how about posting the type of matieral you used?
