Cool

I'll disguise this so my wife doesn't find out.

Wheels -

The first number is two tenths higher than a perfect light on a pro tree.

The second number is the number of seconds (rounded down) that most Lightnings run in the 1/8 mile.

The last number is the cash balance in my check book after buying the darn things.

Tires -

The tires are available at Tire Rack or Discount Tire. They are about the same cost as a good quality 18" tire. ~$300/tire.

Looks cool... What made you go with this wheel tire combination ??

Dunlops site says "Availability to be announced."

Are you going for the with Dunlop Self-Supporting Technology option ??

OK

I am announcing that they are available.

Actually, I thought the tread pattern was neat looking and they are a superior wet weather tire. Performance on dry roads is supposedly not as good as some other brands so that will encourage me to use my 17" wheels for autocross etc.... thereby prolonging the life of the tire. I don't think anyone has tried Dunlops yet so what the heck.

I'm not even sure I bought that one.

Hey Zor,

Don't feel bad....I think those white wheels look great on your truck and I wouldn't touch a thing.

Damn sixpipes, "who's the wild man now" or something. actually a great tread pattern, very similar to yoko avs-st's, i use of my ram-zilla-a-saursis. great cornering and braking when wet, and pretty good stick unless you have over 700hp or something.

Cool

Just got the tires/wheels in Fed-EX and of course had to go put them on. It's raining here in Texas so probably will have to wait til Saturday for decent picture weather.

DreaminAboutL -

I was concerned about the fit as well, but the guys that sold them to me said no problem. As it turns out, they are the same width as the stock Lightning wheels. I don't know if everybody measures wheel width the same, but the fit is perfect.

I've never owned chrome wheels before so it will take some getting use to the "new look".

Hi Six-I thought you would be home soon. Can't wait to see the pictures. How different is the outside diameter from thde stock Lightnings? As you can see, I am still having trouble with my Zing address in my profile.

Flats Man

Stopped raining long enough for me to run down to the car wash and take a quick photo.

Kinda looks like a Tonka truck doesn't it? The tire profile is about an inch taller than the stock Lightning wheels.

Try this on your address. After posting hit the edit button. Don't change anything, but hit the submit button and your zing site address should be activated.

Your Truck looks great! Does it feel any different going down the road or around corners? I realize you haven't driven it much yet.
