Is a controller necessary with Walbro fuel pumps?
I keep reading about people suggesting using a controller when running the Walbro 255lph fuel pumps. Is this really necessary? I've been running the Walbros for over a year now and haven't had any issues. I was just wondering what the deal is...

I have wired my twin 225s up direct via heavy duty 70amp relay
Heavy Duty 20 Fuse & holder designed for continuous rating.
Heavy cabling to pumps and feed taken from main feed under fuse box.
New relay is switched from existing circuit so has impact safety cut out and contol by key, no dual voltage anymore.
Will install a seperate fuel pump switch later when I replace my stock CD unit with single Din mounting unit & amps, will have room for a neat switch panel in dash then.
