I ran a 6LB lower with a 2LB upper on an 80mm MAF with no problem. That setup with stock exhaust would run 12.52 @ 108mph. Stock Eaton no porting.

I run a 6# lower with 455 hp on 100 oct and a JDM tune.
He said I am on the edge of MAF limits but safe for now.
I am planning on adding a 2.8 upper and have Jim take care of the MAF and tune.

NON PORTED EATON

I don't get why I'm not over 400 to the wheels with more done to my truck then some of you guys... Maybe my stock exhaust is hurting me that bad?

I run SCT so that is what I run and have experience with.

The point of the port is to increase effiency and lower the air temps when using a larger lower pulley, not really need if your not running a larger lower pulley, or are happy with where you are now.

hahaha i know the whole idea behind the port i just dont think they work well on the lightnings.

I really don't want to mess with the upper at all... and also am worried about going over the 450-500RWHP mark... but I don't think the lower 6lber will take it from 400 to 450 will it? I am going to order it today... also... should I get an aux idler pulley to reduce belt slippage? and do i need a new belt when bumping up to the 6 from the 4?

Thanks

my current mods are:
4lb lower
AEM Brute Force CAI
Complete exhaust - Magnaflow hi-flow cats (removed the pre-cats completely)
170 t-stat
Dyno tuned at 401/510
upgrade the MAF since your retuning and installing a 6LB anyway for a measure of safety. A good tune with the right spark plugs and you should be fine and you will probably be around 426/517 with the 6lb and tune. Who is doing your tuning ??? Upgrading the fuel pumps and injectors would be something to consider as you go over 450RWHP

On the belt size use a 68.5 inch belt. Use a Gates Micro-V
P/N K080685, you can get it at O'Reilly's. Ive used the G oodyear Gatorback, and NAPA and the Gates holds best.

Get some new idlers they are cheap at any parts house. I have 100MM idlers....

Exactly!

Some may say the port is questionable, I distictly remember Sal reporting that they do infact reduce IAT! That sells me. But I do believe you have to spin a ported blower a bit faster (6lb+) to benefit. 4lb lower and stock Eaton or ported Eaton and 6lb lower. With the latter, you'll pick up "some" torque and hp at about the same level of "saftey" as the first given all the supporting mods are in place.
