lfp cams , has any one tried these

I just installed these on my lfp stage two heads still waiting on a tune.Tried starting it today and it ran rough at idle. well any feed back would be great.

They are going to run rough. It's called lope The profiles from stock are radically different and lend themselves toward better airflow rather than not making joe consumer freak out and take it in for service.

Thats what you bought em for right?? its a trade off want more power, have to have some lope

Well i just got the phone with jdm they got a tune for me that should help out.they told me also to get a 97 f150 fuel rail because of the mods done to my truck.I will be sure to let you guys know how these cams work .

I wouldnt drive it without the tune. I tried that almost 2 years ago. I had a set of JLP stage 2 heads and cams. We put them on at a buddies shop. I cranked it and it did idle rough. Drove it home, which seemed OK with just a little stalling when stopping. It sounded mean as hell at idle... bad idea when I got the AF Guage on the next day. Driving down the road the guage was sitting on 17+ at cruise when it should have been at 14.6. The exhaust tips were getting a light coat of white. I didnt dare throttle it, went home and parked it....The tune came 2 days later and fixed the hole problem.

I guess with the increased airflow the fuel trim was off by a wide margin and couldnt keep up even at part throttle.

Please list your mods and what is to gained by the 97-f150 fuel rails ?????

Ineeded the fuel rail of a 97 because with my tune from them they shut the low side relay off on the fuel pump so it all way see s 12 volts i gues it stop alien codition that can happen,my mods are 6lb,sct2400,60inj,stage 2 heads ,stage 2cams,hbeam rods,sct tuner,dual 255 walbro fuel pumps,97 f150 fuel rail.

Ya... its alien all right.

Purchase the 97 fuel rail and install it ...then your all fixed up
