x-pipe?

Here is an interesting one...

I bought a 2.5" x-pipe, then i bought a dual in dyual out 2.5" magnaflow muffler... I noticed in the muffler that it has a built in x-pipe...

will it hurt anything at all by running the x-pipe before the muffler that has one in it? does that make sense to anybody?

I ripped off the cats and put 2 hi-flow cats from magnaflow on... and now im dumping the rest of the exhasut....

Thanks

I'm sure it will not hurt a thing. Just extra metal and extra cash. The main reason that X pipe is even there is for reversion and exhaust scavaging.

You could always sell the x-pipe or return it? It doesnt seem like it is needed. Then you'll have more money for different mods.

I have no room for the x-pipe anyways...

However... now with 2 hi-flow magnaflow cats, and a Dual In Dual Out x-pipe magnaflow muffler.. this thing is just WAY TOO LOUD... It is almost unbearable. AHH.. I have no idea how to quiet it down from here though....

put some baffles in the exhaust, that will help. Others here have done it, try a search it might get the info you need.
