Why to get married

Wyldman: I was very sorry to read in your post of your wife's passing last year but I didn't know what to say at the time. Quite a few years ago, I watched my girlfriend's mom die of cancer slowly over a two-year period and I thought the mom and her husband had had what I considered an ideal marriage. He was devastated. Later, when he, too, died (he was the pilot of a Hawker-Siddley executive jet that crashed in the Arctic), I felt like I had lost a father. I named my second son after that man (Kyle).
I agree with you about marriage to the right woman. When it's with the right woman, it's the best. And you're right about children. I am happy for you that you have a son.

I luv you CA....Don't tell sue. hehe..
i met my wife sue when she was 16 and i was 17 later at the age of 21 we got married. it wasn't always perfect, but i must say i wouldn't change 1 thing. i without a doubt have the best wife in the world i know because she puts up with me whenever i hear someone say " the grass is greener on the other side of the fence" i just say yea it might be but its just as hard to mow! sue and i have been married 17 yrs this comming dec.22nd.and those of you who have met her know she loves the lightning as much as me. she's always been like that. a true help meet and friend.wyldman i truly dread the day when i might have to face life without her.i'm sorry to hear of your great lose. i give the Lord all the glory for sending someone like me such a wonderful wife.the lord has been very gracious to sue and i thru the years and i know its because of his grace were still together and are still in love with each other. i never regret the day when sue and i ask jesus into our hearts and to help our marriage to be what he would have it to be and to be pleasing to him and a help and encouragement to others around us. i truly believe that the Lord has a spouse for us and the devil does also. so we need to be very careful to choose the right one.our lives truly depend on it.we can have a marriage that is a little of heaven on earth.or we can have a marriage that will be hell on earth its our choice. sorry about the long post.but i got a little misty eyed when i started to read this thread....i'm glad to see the majority speak well of the family and their spouses JL

Johnny,
You and Sue are so very strong and I love you both so much. I am so glad that I got to meet you and I can call you my friends. I believe what you say about there being a right person for everyone. Things are rough in that department for me here now and the only thing I can do at this point is keep my head up and try not to lose hope. It just seems like when it rains it pours and I'm pretty close to drowning here. Maybe if I pray that God helps me see what all this means it will help me to come to some kind of conclusion.
Thanks
Love Always

More Humor!
Comebacks To "Why Aren't You Married Yet?"
1. You haven't asked yet.
2. I was hoping to do something meaningful with my life.
3. Because I just love hearing this question.
4. Just lucky, I guess.
5. It gives my mother something to live for.
6. My fiancee is awaiting his/her parole.
7. I'm still hoping for a shot at Miss/Mr. America.
8. Do you know how hard it is to get two tickets to Miss Saigon?
9. I'm waiting until I get to be your age.
10. It didn't seem worth a blood test.
11. I already have enough laundry to do, thank you.
12. Because I think it would take all the spontaneity out of
dating.
13. My co-op board doesn't allow spouses.
14. I'd have to forfeit my billion dollar trust fund.
15. They just opened a great singles bar on my block.
16. I wouldn't want my parents to drop dead from sheer happiness.
17. I guess it just goes to prove that you can't trust those
voodoo doll rituals.
18. What? And lose all the money I've invested in running
personal ads?
19. I don't want to have to support another person on my
paycheck.
20. Why aren't you thin?
21. I'm married to my career, although recently we have been
considering a trial separation.
22. (Bonus reply for Single Mothers) Because having a husband and
a child would be redundant.
