Very weird steering wheel vibration when braking after a hard launch ! HELP NEEDED !

Every time after a hard launch if i press the brakes hard, during the braking process my steering wheel shakes violently ! It's not a kind of very fast vibrations like a bad balanced wheel. The steering wheel shakes slow but with a BIG up and down moviment. I don't know if right after a hard launch something comes out of place on the suspension and goes back to place.
That's funny because if i am driving the vehicle normally and i hit the brakes hardly nothing happens, it just happens if i have to brake hard "after a hard launch".
I though about a broken engine mount or something on the suspension.

Any comment will be trully appreciated.
Thanks,
Raf.

Can you feel it in the brake pedal? The only time I have ever experienced something like that is if one or more of the rotors are warped.

I would go over the whole front suspension and steering linkages with a fine tooth comb, something has to be moving or coming loose.

+1

Also since you think it happens after unloading the front end somewhat it would be best to do it on a lift with the suspension hanging loose.

Dude i have the truck being aligned and balanced now. I asked the guy from the shop to take a look at the suspension and he said that apparently all the suspension parts were ok and tight and he thinks there is a possibility that the truck have a warped rotor.

What do you think ? Will a warped rotor shake the steering wheel only and not the brake pedal too ?
Thanks.

Hey Rafa I have had my brakes do both when I have had warped rotors. I have felt it in the steering wheel and brake pedal as well as feeling in the steering wheel only. Not to change the subject but I have somewhat followed your build. My question is how do you like it?

Guys the kind of jump i am talking about it's way bigger than the small ABS jumps when we brake.

The front suspension literally jumps up and down when braking.

possibly your shocks could be bad.. or being that you have a 4 wheel drive setup, if you launched hard in 4WD you could have messed up one of the half shafts in the front..

check your pinion angle on the rear end, also Hostile may have a good point about the shocks, they do help dampen the nose dive when slamming the brakes and could be suspect as well.

Believe or not guys, that seems to be the result of a crappy aligment. I am 99% sure it is.
I just got the truck now after aligment and seems to be perfect.

Is the front end lowered more than 2"?
You could be experiencing the infamous "bump steer".
