New Best @ SSOTN Today
What a great day @ Cecil today.
Private Track Rental sponsered by the Super Stallions of the Net(SSOTN).
Spent the morning grinding the calipers for the new Bogarts.
Spent the afternoon going fast(er).
When the smoke cleared, I had a new Personal Best of 11.46 @ 117.
This is the original long block with 73,000 miles. Magnum Powers blower(all blower-no juice).
Thanks to JDM for an awesome set up.
Thanks to JJ for use of his personal equipment.
Same goes for CtTOPGUN and Ken Shelton too.
You guys are Da Goods

PS: JohnnyL was airing out the underside of the TTL today.

It was time consuming, but it's done now.
First pass: 12:30pm
New tires, Hot, Heavy, Street Tune, 4# Pulley
12.0 @ 112. I just wanted to scuff the tires.
Second Pass: 1:36pm
Scuffed Tires, Cooled, Race Weight, Race Tune, 4# Pulley
11.63 @ 116.00. Only one hundredth off last year's best.
1.63 60ft was only two hundredths off my best ever.
Time to swap pulleys. The Magnums LOVE to be spun!!!
Ken broke out the 60 amp charger so I could run the E-fan for a half hour.
Jimmy helped with his blue blowers and I parked the engine in the shade and slid under the bumper and swapped up to the larger lower.
Final Pass: 2:42pm
Cold as could be on a 58 degree day. I drove straight from the pits to the water box. Many of the racers had already left by then. I made a solo run in the left lane.
RT = .008
60' = 1.579
1/8 = 7.274 @ 93.74
1/4 = 11.468 @ 117.42
I don't know how much boost I gained by switching pulleys. I was watching the fuel pressure gauge because I only had a tick over 1/8 tank of fuel.
The 1-2 shift seemed a little soft. Could have been an air bubble.
Fuel starvation on a Gen2 usually shows up at the end of first gear when the G-Forces are the greatest. I didn't see the gauge move. It may have been nothing. Maybe it's the first signs of a tired stock tranny(no FTVB here...Mod Valve only).
It may have been my imagination. Regardless, I will have 3/8s fuel level next time.
Next Time will be this Thursday at the first ever DelValLO Day @ Atco.
See you there.
