Moroso engine pan/oil filter clearance

Just installed a new Moroso engine oil pan and the oil filter makes contact. I had to destroy the old filter to remove it and the new one definetly is not going on. Anyone run into this problem? Is there a smaller diameter filter with the 22X1.5mm threads of an FL820S? I've searched and haven't found one yet.

Thanks

When I called the tech, they mentionned that on one of their pan, a remote filter had to be used. Check with them.

How was the install? Is the engine in the truck?

humm, that's interesting... that's one thing I did not check yet.

It was a pain in the *** getting the motor in the truck with that pan on... you got to have it right on the money to set the motor in (this is with the transmission still in place)

You must be running the stock oil pump and pickup, as I had to do extensive modifications to get the FRPP oil pump and pickup to work, but it's in there.

What's the oil filter hit on the oil pan? It's no where near the sump area, so what's the clearance problem?
