Hey BaBolt, I just got it back yesterday with the long tubes done and looking very fine! The boost has been set at 14psi total so we dont hurt anything until the new motor is complete. We are spinning the EATON at 4psi and the Paxton at 10psi. I cannot beleive that the truck runs perfect we have about 500 miles on it to date. The instrumentation for intercooler temperatures etc is coming. I will provide all the data as soon as I get it for everyone to see. The intercooler is being worked by Spearco and a company in the boat business called PFM. Dont know what results will be just yet. The truck will go to Swansons to tune with MAF,Aircleaner, and single oval throttle body provided by you. The idea is to tune the stock motor until I get the second set of injectors installed etc. Seems like motor will run this boost level without detonation so we will see? The smoothness of the power is unreAL AND HONEST TO GOD YOU CANT TELL FROM STOCK SET UP WITHOUT TUNE! I DEFINITELY WANT TO SPEAK WITH YOUR GUY FOR TUNE ON REAL MOTOR.I WILL FORWARD CYLINDER HEAD PHOTOS AS ASAP ALONG WITH EXHAUST. THINGS ARE LOOKING GOOD ENJOY.

I'M busted again by you allied boys. Yes I had the men in blue here at work run the pressure ratios with The famous BLANE ANDERSON book! These figures are estimates and yes the curve appears to be beautiful. Just like we thought the truck no longer blows the tires away and pulls like no tommorrow between 40 and 120!!! We figure with the new motor it will develop around 700h.p. and idle like a baby. Computers are a wonderful thing. I will forward boost curve once we get instrumented. We will be usuing the same approach that you guys use for mapping turbine stuff after all you guys taught us how to do it. I'm routinely in your town getting my butt chewed so next time we should hook up. I will be meeting MR DESISTO here again before the end of the year.

OH ,I forgot youre calculation was a little off we saw 16.2psi !!! JUST KIDDING but we did see 16 with a fairly ugly gauge. Would you like a job designing valves? Never one to miss a recruiting opportunity. The blower designs come into play also to develop the curve ,roots and centrifugal are a wonderful thing. The rally guys figured it out 20 years ago in europe.Heres some more photos for you toy fans!!!!!!!!

Thanks Chet for the kind offer. I actually like my job (stress/vibration analyst) over here in PCPL. Sure is a small world. I was hired by Blane back in '86 and I have a copy of his book right in front of me. I would love to meet up the next time your in town. I'll send you an email with my addresses so you can let me know when your schedule firms up.

Thanks for not picking on me when I said, “Both blowers are positive displacement pumps”. Actually only one is a positive displacement pump (Eaton), and the other is a centrifugal pump. But you got the idea.

So what about those castings?

Joel....
