Got my first fog light lense cracks on both fog lights. I've had the truck since March and they have not cracked until now.

Maybe it has to do with the temp changes in the cold winter. Don't know but funny that they just now crack after 9 months of operation and no problems. It gets cold and BAM, cracked lenses.

I like the 2001 fogs and maybe I'll change my out if and when they are avail.

Anyone else notice this in cooler areas?

Not really cool here in phoenix, but I just went through a fog light and it cost me $100 to replace it. I guess Ford doesn't sell just the lense, So I had to buy the whole light assembly. I was wondering how many I'll be going through here in the desert, Guess I'll be finding out.

CarParts.com sells a pair of replacement lenses for $20.00. Smoked or clear...

Part# is GT0981C for clear and GT0981S for smoked.

Mine were fine, until one night, this Dodge truck just had to know how fast he can go...

We were neck and neck at 65, then 70, then he floors it, and I catch back up by 80, and match his speed. He quit gaining speed around 110 or so, and thats when I waved bye to the nice lookin' blond in the pass. seat. I went up to 135 indicated.

Next day, I noticed I had a cracked dirver's side fog lense cap. That reminds me of the first day I had me Lightning...

 

I've gone threw four of those on just the passenger side, bad luck I guess. I wish I would have asked tampa, could have saved 300 bucks.

 

hey tampabay, those part #'s you listed, have you orderd them? I am just wondering if they are the correct ones for sure. I think they are actual "covers", not the lenses themselves. If so the Carbon fiber ones might be kinda cool on a black lightning!
