Question Lug nut problem. Please help

Ok, I finally get my spacers for the American racing black steel wheeels. The installer goes to put them on(acorn style) and the don't fit. Now I can't find the right size. I have tried everything, those chart things at the stores. I know the stock ones are 14mmx2, But the thread coursness is the pproblem I am running into. Hel-p

I put a set of Gorilla wheel locks on mine. They fit just fine and look great.

Ok, Our stock rims are hubcentric, meaning the wheels are centerd on the hub. The new wheels I bought are lugcentric. So i need the acorn style lugnuts, but cannot find the right size 14mm thread size.

Got my wheels and acorn style lug nuts at Discount Tire for a 99. They seemed to have a large selection of sizes. May have the size for 2000. Steve

The wheel locks are a duplex acorn nut with washers, part #76603F from Gorilla. The cost is $59.95 for a set of 20.No more worries about new wheels missing!

Thumbs up

Check out www.mrlugnut.com . Don't waste your time trying to order direct, though; they only sell to distributors. Instead, find what you want, get the part number, and go to NAPA and order the lugs through them. It takes about two or three days and costs about $20 shipped.

If you are having problems fitting the lug wrench over the nuts because of too large an OD, there are some lugs with the "grooves" inside (like a big allen-head bolt...you need an adapter to fit it but can buy it for like $4 extra). Good luck.
