If he's on a stock block with (Whipple) and running under 125mph at finish line thats not gonna matter. Stock block stops making most horsepower/torque at 5100-5600(depending on tune obviously). Especially if he's running 30 inch slicks. If he's running a safe tune he's not going to hitting 130 at finish line..Everyone thinks 4.10s hurt your times...If your a built block and runnig 600 plus horsepower than yes 3.73 should stay on...

CONGRATS SILVER your gonna LOVE IT ( good wife )
I was very concerned about running 140 MPH 1/4's with the 3.73's. Wednesday at Atco to my surprise the truck really wasnt screaming as bad as I expected (15" Bogart / 30" Hoosier's). RPM was prob no more than 5800, and the truck ended up making 4 passes with 135 plus through 136 plus MPH's. As said it wasnt really revving that bad considering but I sure wouldnt want to be at that power level, MPH, and RPM, on a stock block
