What I want to know is...

if i go out and buy a whipple.. and swap it with what i have....

running all the same companents.. and I am at 420/545 at 13psi on the eaton..

what will it do for me? more HP per lb of boost? less boost but more power?

if i got it tuned right after i got the S/C..... what would my approx numbers be on my setup?

my mods are in my sig...

i cant say for sure but maybe this will help.. i was making 500hp/600tq on a ported eaton 2.7 upper 6# lower it was at 16psi with 16deg. timing.. since my whipple swap i am making 538hp/602tq 3.375 upper 4# lower 14psi 14deg. timing.. the whipple will make more power with less..

Gray Betty recuperates from the knife..:) PIX

Finally got her complete.. Soemone need to fire who ever wrote the directions on the vacuum lines. Took us an hour to figure out what the hell was goin on..

Heres some live video of Gray Betty....Have street tune till mornig. Dyno tune at 10 am. We'll see what kind of numbers come out of the upper 3.50 and 6lb lower.. Too much boost fosho. I think I hit 16lb once. I'll have to re-install 4lber for a safer tune..

I Run the 4lb lower and the 3.375 upper, 14-14.5 lbs. As for the difference report between the Eaton and Whipple, I made 444HP before the swap and like 480 something HP after on a safe street tune, 510 on the more agressive street tune, same pulleys, but the numbers don't tell the whole story, around town or at the track the truck feel's fantastic and I like knowing once I go built block I can turn up the volume with a pulley swap and a new tune.

Yeah we got it running today. Vacuum lines gave us a bit of trouble. Terrible directions....

but to me... 20HP is not worth the 4k it takes to get one of these..

even if your getting 50HP more throughout the lower rpm range...

IMHO...
