5200rpm with 4.10's = 150mph been there,done that.

I'm now back to 3.55's, so the motor only has to spin to 4500rpm to hit 150mph.

The coolest is still Nathan's "fly by" video at 140-145mph.

Maybe this summer I'll do a video at 150+

*** Jeff, you bet. Shoot me a email. ksanp@aol.com********************************

Jigawatt, Do you live in Tri-cities? If so, weve got to hook up sometime.

Wells and I were taking his truck out to Cheyenne to have his gears installed at about 630 in the morning and anyone who has done that drive knows it's pretty wide open once you get past Longmont...I just watched the speedo climb. That was pretty awesome. He hit 140 and there was still room. I liked going to donner the last night we were in St Louis though...We had 6 or 7 trucks I believe and you can imagine if you haven't gone out in a group like that, the look on the face of people as they get passed at 100+ by 6 of the same trucks only differet colors

Cool

Was that your run on the M&M Tim?

Had mine to 135 twice and ran out of(relatively safe) road both times. Still pulling pretty hard.

Somewhere between 135 and 140 (I was paying more attention to the road than the speedometer)

On one occasion when the air temp and humidity were low I had the speedo needle pointing at reverse on the shift indicator. Probably the scariest thing I've done with the truck. Oh, I forgot to mention that it is still completely stock.

Well,I started the topic and it looks as if I'm the slowest one so far.Come Spring I'll have to see what can be done about that. The roads are too nasty here in Eastern PA thru Winter with snow/ice spots/salt all over the place.

This topic reminds me of the first day I had my truck...

It was a cold and clear day...The phone rang, and I knew it was the port of Anchorage before I picked up the phone (caller id). I was out the door in seconds. Finally 3 weeks after drving the pickup a whole 8 miles, it finally arrived from Seatle. It was damn near 2pm, one of my favorite days. I couldn't beleive I had the keys to it.

I knew it had power, just didn't know how much, I didn't floor it, but I gave it some gas, and it was beggin' for more. The drive back home was when it happened.

That was when 4 of us got introduced to the Lightning. Yet I was the only one in my truck. The other 3 were in this nice looking single cab black Dodge Ram. It was damn clean. They were 18 or so, high school had just gotten out, so they were hyped. I was nervous. I knew what the truck had off the line, well, and idea, but not at 65. I didn't want to play, but then they cut me off. That didn't bother me. What bothered me was the two passengers turning around and showing the thumbs down sign. They slowed to 60, and I jumped in the right lane, and was in front of them before the dodge could react. I could see the truck lower its shoulder's in defeat. Its front bumper started to droop. Looking a little higher, looking from the passeger side to the driver, I saw two very stunned faces, and one very red red face. I managed to wave my index finger as a sign for them not to mess with this truck. Then that kid just had to show me his dodge. I let him pull up along my pass. side, and I see a nice 1 finger salute. Then he floors it again, and thats when I floored my Lightning for the first time. I backed off near 120, I was a good .2 miles ahead.

The next time I was that startled was when we hit the moose...

My wife told me she went 200 in her Ram Air WS6. Therefore I had to out do her, so off to 207 or so (...ahem, that's km/h) or roughly 129 mph. Ran out of road and *****. Very stable and plenty to go.

I'm a family man, so enough of that for me!!
