Hard to believe but that was my truck back in May then I did this ....

Now I own a black '00 (hence name change). But I know now that the front end doesn't have to be dismantled BUT you should loosen the front bumper and let it drop a few inches. Makes taking the front shell off a lot easier. Also look out for the plastic retaining clips underneath the shell,
they are a bit of a pain. With all of my grille switching I've got this install down to about an hour now

The only thing I noticed with the billet grilles is that they "whistled" at around 40-50 mph but other than that it was fine. Angle of the bars I guess. Absolutaly NO airflow restrictions in either grille and all you need to solve the alingment problem with the bumper cover is a tape measure. I was real **** about that and had both corners perfectly centered and even. From the factory my bumper was about a 1/4" off on the drivers side and looked ****eyed.

The only problem I had with my billets was the one bar on the bottom not being perfectly straight. You can see it just on the bottom driver side in the middle. When you do the mod, measure twice install once. One of these days I'll fix it when I get the front bumper repainted.

I will start by saying I think these trucks with billet grilles look awesome. Now for my question, the billet grilles look more restrictive than the stock ones. Have any of you that have installed them seen higher engine temp.s? Especially in traffic? Even if it does I am sure I will buy one for mine, thanks!
