Are you doing a race only, or a dyno as well? Race only leaves room for too many variables IMO.

Either way, I'm excited for the results

?????

dyno are for numbers only.the track tells it all.the track we are racing @ is 2700 ft elevation with no DA factor and is one slippery snake. THe whipple has the better lane also.

Is is a 1 race or best of (like 3 or 5) ???

Good luck and have fun. Personally I think they have both proven themselves in different aspects.

Good luck to both sides....

When you post the results I am sure we will hear plenty of "that doesnt prove anything", "too many variables", "the trucks arent the same", "the drivers arent the same"...blah, blah, blah.

I think both are probably good blowers. I have a KB on my truck now and have no complaints. I dont see why this topic raises so many folks blood pressure. I know JDM and KB literally hate each other and I guess most JDM customers feel the need to show their solidarity. I have JDM heads, JLP bottom end and other parts from PSP, chikenears, LFP, ect, ect. I guess I'll have to stay in the middle of the road on this one. I am enterested in this mostly because it seems like a good grudge match....Wish I could be there, sounds like some good racing is about to take place.

Ok here's the way I see it, as everyone said you can never have two identical trucks unless you have the same truck with 2 diff blowers with the same conditions and set up, soooooooooo all you can do is look at the facts.... The Regular KB was on every top JLP and JDM truck all along and we all know they coined the phrase "10 second Daily Driver", it was a great Blower and as far as I'm concerned still is, especially for the cost these days.

The Whipple came out and now yes they are on all the Top JDM Trucks as well as tons of other Top L's out there tuned by many others.
The facts are to date the Best Whipple ET's are

Fastest JDM Whipple Customers (taking from a post here on F-150)

Mike Redden 9.74@138.76 (My Truck)
Don Justus 9.96@137
Jeff Bruso 10.19@132
Fast Gator 10.22@131.5
Leonard Watosn 10.23@132
Vinnie Telesco 10.33@129.8

Other Top L's (taking from NLOC list)
I assume Dave London's 9.816 is on a KB ?
I'm not sure but I do know all the trucks below are ON Spray
Dave London 9.816 @ 139.16
TT1x2 9.960 @ 137.74
Charlie L's 9.980 @ 136.26
Big Bob 9.984 @ 135.6

We also know regular ole KB's have been out there for years running mid 10's
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE BEST NON NITROUS KB ET ???? I know it's at least 10.5 (maybe better). V's gone 5's off spray on the KB I'm sure, SO in my opinion the Whipple has proved to be an average of 2/10ths quicker in ET

The OFF SPRAY numbers to beat are
Alum Assault Motor Gator's 10.22@131.5
Regular ole Iron Built Motor, V's 10.33@131 (nloc shows the MPH @ 128.98)
Fuzzy has a 10.323 @ 128.76 OFF SPRAY also, (not sure what SC)

The ON SPRAY numbers to beat are
My Trucks 9.74 @138.76 for a Whipple
Dave London's 9.816 @ 139.16 (I believe a KB + N20)
TT1X2 + Charlie L + Big Bob + Me also all have 9.9's under our belts on spray
some with Whipples + N20, some with Reg KB's + N20, again the Whipple proves to have better Et by 2/10ths.

Everyone has a built motor, everyone has heads and cams, everyone pushes their race tune and nitrous use to what they feel is still a safe enough number. Go for it is all I can say....
I personally like the 2.6 KB and use to have one on Red. All it takes is for one to go out there and run a 10.3 off spray and a 9.7 on spray and you'll get my
ok it's equal , want to prove it better then a Whipple it's going to take a 10.2 off spray and a 9.6 on spray, go ahead and tune it to the tilts cause it dont matter, all that matters is the ET and is it a Daily Driver like all the rest we are comparing too
LET THE FUN BEGIN....

Spray is another game because everyone runs a different shot and system

off the spray the numbers to beat in a FULL Weight Streetable truck

Don Justus 10.16 Whipple/ JDM Alum
Jeff Bruso 10.19 Whipple/ JDM Alum
Gator 10.22 Whipple/ JDM Alum
Leonard Watson 10.23 Whipple/ JDM Alum
Fuzz and V Man 10.32 and 10.33 Whipple/ JDM Iron

Dont anyone say Gary soulage 10.10 because that thing as light as a feather. Literally.
