I saw that segment as well. I thought that the host was going to state that the 01 model no longer comes with the secret water injection intercooler!!!!

If Coletti says, "We want to give our customer what they want" then why isn't this a 550 hp thing?

 

I just saw the 2 minutes on the 01 Lighting and I am glad I have a 2000. But it looked like the 01 had a power antenna. Does anyone know if that is going to be on the production 01?

They probably leave antenna off for shows, they ususally do the same thing in the brochures (for cars and trucks).

I have to say, our next car is a PTCruiser for my wife--it's her turn, so I can't knock em.

for what it's worth, the man said the USS Sliverado is getting closer to production ( but like all other concepts--most of what you see today will be removed!)

 

Why arent you bringing up the fact that Moss said a SS is coming out soon,Basically he is trying to figure out if it will be a ex cab or regular cab.

Wont have no independant rear though,You can gaurantee that.I bet it will come out single cab on the idea of the original gold one.

 

Just don't make the Chevy SS with a stepside bed. That is one butt ugly contraption. I can't believe people are willing to purchase a vehicle that flows so poorly from front to rear.

Just MHO.

 

I hope like Hell Chevrolet makes that SS truck so the chevy owners will finally shut up! I hope for their sake, it doesn't turn out as fast as Chevrolet's first attempt- The 454 SS. HAHA

My bet is that it will be an extended cab so the Ch*vy owners will have a built-in excuse as to why it can't get out of the 14's.

It is the extended cab. But I think it's cool that they FINALLY put the LS1 in the trucks. Now if they get smart and put it in a S-10, they'll be set. Personally, I'd but the truck if I could get rid of those ugly a$$ air scoops in the front bumper.

They havent put anything into anything yet.These are not scheduled yet and are not going to look or be like either of the two.The show clearly stated they are still figuring out which one they will produce.If they do a Ex cab it might look nice but is not going to have a ls6 and its not gonna have independent susp,and its not gonna have bright shiney forged wheels! Never happened,never will I will buy one if its a cool truck but I cannot see anything that could touch the lightning .The lightning just works right for somereason.They and we were just lucky!

How many vechicles react to a chip/filter and knock off a second in the quarter mile? Ive never seen one and its even more impressive that its done with a 13 second vechicle not a 16!
