Post I met a guy today that may have the two fastest L's in the word.

I pull into buy gas on the way to work this morning. A red L pulls in behind. Guy gets out, tell me he likes my chrome wheels. He ask where and how much. I ask him, do you go on F150online, lightning page? He says sure! I ask his handle. Well he doesn't have one yet. He never heard of Tirerack.com, or Santa Ana Wheel. But he does have two L's (one 1999 and 2000). One bone stock that ran 13.20, and one with a Pro M, 373's, and a pre R9 Superchip that runs 12.70 (with 1.70 60' times)! He is having his old F1's recapped into slicks! Boy is this guy lucky or what!! I bet he gets 20 miles to a gallon too.
He did have a different bed cover than any I have seen. It had a Nascar style spoiler on the back. Looked ok.

Boy I wish I could spell World!

Jerry

Just curious what is the fasted time that anyone has run the 1/4 mile in their stock truck? I did my best time the other night. I ran 13.67 @ 101.5 MPH with a bad 60 ft. time of 2.15 I thought it was pretty good except for the 60ft. time. Only thing I've done with my truck is put flowmasters on it.

Well, its funny, did you notice in that PM article that ALL the vehicles seemed to be running very good times? Maybe there was a 20 mph tailwind that day. Its hard to attribute much validity to some of these posts without knowing the circumstances they were run under. I was reading an article in a mag recently (I don't remember which one, and I can't find it right now) and buried in the fine print was the observation that they actually had a strong tail wind at the strip that day. Jiminy, give me a 20 mph tailwind and I guarantee I'll be in the 12 second club, too.

Alpha, right on.

With wind, air, etc, you can add at least 3/10ths to everybody's reported low ET to come up with what they can run repeatedly in "normal" conditions, whatever they are.
