Hey Scuba, I love Zaino also, but retired now and don't want to spend $100 + to shine my 7 year old truck,, I'll post Pix when I'm done,, so far it looks very good. I did no prep, just washed and am waxing..

I've tried many products but the best one so far is Meguiars NXT. It is very dust free. If you want to go all out use meguiars step 1 and 2 before with 2 coats of NXT. I had a shop ask me if my red was a custom paint.

Dawn (strip wax), Clay Bar of any brand, Zymol Polish, and finally, Meguires NXT Wax. Works great and Ive actually read on a few forums where guys actually switched from Zaino to Meguires next gen. Now I don't believe that its better as Ive seen Zaino and its great, but if you want a cheaper alternative

I checked with the Meguiars tech and this is what I did last year:

Meguiars Gold Class Wash

Clay bar

Meguiars Step 1 and 2

2 coats of NXT

To be honest, it wasn't that difficult and I was asked several times if I had a custom paint job. NXT goes on and off like a charm especially when you have a good base.

This year the shine is still there and all I will do is 2 coats of NXT. That's it.

I really can't ask for anything better.

I suggested ICE to my neighbor and she loves it. It is less durable than NXT but not staining trim is a big plus. The best one step wax I have tried is Mothers Cleaner Wax. It removes oxidation, fills swirls, and lays down a nice coat of carnuba in one easy step. I haven't had any trim staining problems with it but I am very careful to keep it off the trim.

What's up Vince? Natty's is some good stuff. I have Natty's Blue and it smells good enough to eat...lol Are you going to the next cruise-in?

Randy
