Dynojet WBC tach hook up?

Where do you guys pull the signal for the tach hook up on your WBC? I didn't want to use a splice on the coil wire. Should I get a tach adapter or whatever it is their called?

coil pack wires

or you can use one of the wires from cpu, but i'd drather do coil packs.

It says in the directions to use either the smaller, or the bigger of the two wires, i forget. They both looked the same to me so i picked one. It was wrong. Had to change it.

You might as well use the coil pack because...

A- you'd need to tap there anyway for a tach adapter, and..

B- tapping it at the PCM is the same wire, just at the other end

Thanks Sal. I was trying to avoid tapping wires, but I guess theres no way around it. I just hate those stupid wire tap thingies.

no

just take a razor and cut like an 1/8 inch of covering off the wire. Take the tach signal wire and wrap the end around a couple time. Solder it up right quick and put a couple coats of liquid electrical tap on it. Good to go. That's what i did. Then had to undo it and do it to the right one!

I can't get my wbc to register rpms correctly under about 2500 rpms. I set it up as recommended........sensitivity and all. I think it might just be my slow lap top.
