Obviously you are a cool old dude:-) I don't think you old dudes are bad drivers. I just think you slow down in front of me. I live in a very rural area and it never fails to happen. Slow guy pulls out in front of me and slows down. I pass and look over and it's a fossil in the driver seat. No hard feelings!!

Talking

That's an easy one. Because they are quicker in mind and body and still have test. pumping through thier bodies which gives them the nerve to do things we would not.

Thier point is based in truth.

You know at 56 I tend to start channel surfing for Geritol, Depends, Viagra, etc. commericials just to make me feel younger. NOT!!!
And I don't drive SLOW, either!!
Why is it EVERY person driving slow is classified as OLD? Don't young people drive slow, too?
When they come to take my license they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands. Just bury me in my Lightnng!!
Keep up the good work "Youngster" and congrats on the new Lightning.

Cool

Almost 64 here, but not slow, just ask Marcus. Many if not most of the members of the local hot rod clubs are old dudes, too. I think that as a rule the white haired grannies are worse than the old guys, but most of them seem to have enough sense to stay in the slow lane. Its the soccer moms with SUVs full of kids who won't get out of the left lane that drive me nuts. Any left lane bandit drives me nuts, and this area is loaded with them. I love the sign on Ruslow's windshield, wish I had one. I'd rant some more, but I gotta go pick up my new propellers.

I'm impressed with you "slightly older and wiser" guys. I would never have guessed any of you could be grandpas by the messages you post. Especially alphadoggy - I would have put him at about 35-40 and being the yuppie type. (Don't take offense to that statement, you just seem especially "on the ball") Just goes to show at age 36, I have a whole lot to look forward to, and I'm glad you're with us!!

Dan, you're there too - I would have put you at ~35. You guys amaze me. Viagra? Who needs Viagra??

I finally got the kids out of the house so I can spend my money on my own toys! And loving it. When the kids ask to borrow money, I just point to the L and say "its in there!" Hehehe
I love the sign on Ruslow's windshield too, it just needs to be spelled backwards like "ecnalubmA"

For some reason the "Old Doods" around here seem to think their Grand Marquis has got something on the L. Most of these guys never had a truck that was anything like an L so it's kind of a suprise to them. It's fun to see their face when they can't seem to get in front of that darn truck. I think it would be great to put some of these guys (Old Doods) in an L and see what they can do. Based on the way they run their Grand Marquis they'd probably give us a run for our money.

hey guys, 54 and my L turns a year old march 1st. got about 6 grand into it and it still ain't fast enuf!! my hero is the dealer i bought her from. he's 73, has about 18 race cars (legitimate), not including his 99 L and spare motor, and salivates whenever a "ute" challenges a race. when he's done with 'em he trashes 'em a little. i hope i'm there when i'm 73. there's no doubt in my mind but it ain't up to me!!!

I am not old, but I do tend to obey the speed limits. My roomate drove to California last weekend and got stopped for doing 75 in a 55. $157 dollar ticket, and probably gonna get his insurance raised.
I did some calculations on my map program on my computer and figured speeding saved him about 30 minutes on his trip. But then subtract the 20 minutes for getting pulled over and it brings it down to 10 minutes.
So .... he got there 10 minutes faster, but it cost him $157, and probably raised his insurance.
Oops wait, I forgot to subtract the time it took him to write out a check, fill out the envelope, get stamps and mail it. That was probably about 10 minutes.
So now, it looks as though speeding did not save him any time at all, but yet cost him $157
Perhaps the people that are driving slow have just decided to let all the speed racers out there give the extra money to the state instead of them ?
No flaming was intended to people who speed, my reply was just intended as food for thought.

Cool

If I'm not mistaken, the sign on Ruslow's windshield is backwards. That's why I thought it was so cool. How'd you like to see him in your rear view?
