Jdm Fuel Rail Kit Explained

If you want to know how and why JDM uses their fuel rail kit here is how it was explained to me by JIM III at JDM. Thanks JIMIII/RYAN

Becasue the rails are more efficient as far as flow to each injector ( still same inside diameter) and the regulator that comes on them is designed to see high fuel pressure all the time. We turn off your high/ low relay switch in the tune in order to let the pumps see the full voltage that they need. The stock lightning rails and regulator are not designed to see that and if we ran them on high all the time the regulator would eventually blow. Now the reason why we do this is because of the pump voltage. 255 pumps must see a minimum of 12 volts. On the low side of your relay system it only give 9 volts. So even with the bigger 255 pumps when you use the stock rails and regulator your getting less fuel to the motor than the stock pumps!! So when you go from cruising to WOT or to pass some one you get a lean spike which can cause detonation if in the right spot. Thats why we turn the low/hi relay to hi all the time so its always at least 14 volts to the pumps. Giving them enough power to always have enough fuel. Again if we did this with your stock rails and regulator it would not work.
