Post Supercrew L project

How about a Supercrew L? I'm new to the board but this will be my next project. I posted a request for a used L drivetrain but got no responses. If anyone know of one please let me know. I had a Gen 1 L with lots of mods, but had to sell it because of the family and business. I know a Supercrew L will not be as fast or handle as well, but us with 2 kids and all their stuff need more room.
P.S. I have done lots of testing with the Gen 1 L with brakes and suspension mods so I know some of the aftermarket manf. If I can be of help or you need impartial advise e-mail me at seaclear@earthlink.net. Thanks, Bill

Your best bet would be the salvage yards, or rebuilders lots. I'm sure there are some totals out there! Some of the bigger yards will do a search for you. Lloyd

I have 98 f150 flareside 4.6 with 5-speed. I just want a Lightning with a 5-speed or maybe even some variation of the heavyduty 6-speed that they hook up to the turboed 7.3L. I like the idea of modifying your supercrew into a Lightning, but i really want to see the Expedition SVT. It would make the Durango R/T look like a Honda CRV.
I got to get off this message board and attach my new grill so that im ready for the L bumper when it comes out of the paintshop tomarrow.

I just did a search at copart. I came up with 2 L's in one yard! Try Orange Auto Classic in Perris, CA. 909 940-0885 email: ZZauto@msn.com They have one with the plate "VET PULR" I think this is the same L that went in a ditch pulling a Z06 vette! It looked very intact. Lloyd

Forgot to mention I know a guy at Ford in Irvine CA thats in charge of giving the new cars to the mags (usually gives me the mag promotional stuff). He told me last summer that the SVT expedition was set to come out either this spring or next spring (can't remeber which). I'll call him this week and see the lastest word and if he has any promo stuff yet. He owned a Gen 1 and has now a Gen 2 Lightning. Bill

Lloyd: Called Orange Classic Autos and talked to the owner Dan. He did buy the VET PULR Lightning. He had to put a new frame under it. He "makes" supercab and supercrew lightnings. Sounds like he does a good job (complete engine, trans, etc). I'm going to drive out to see a couple of the trucks he has in the next week. I'll post what I find in case anyone else is interested.
