I bought the custom sub box from MTX. Here is a link to it from Crutchfield: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lcYaaV5...0&I=236FRP2GT4

I bought this on ebay, for about 225 with two 10" MTX Thunder4500s. I plan on replacing those because, honestly, they kinda suck. They fit pretty perfectly, I did have to drill two holes into the floor to bolt it down because there aren't any already there.

The Pioneer amp I bought was the perfect fit to squeeze under the passenger seat and the wires go under the carpet.

I can post pics if you would like...

Good luck.

^^^Is that a W6 or W7? I have been trying to find Ideas for a box that would fit a 10" W7 in my single cab for a hot minute. What kinda airspace do you have and how does it sound, I have wanted to build one like yours for a while but have never built a box before. That box is down firing correct? As of now I have a 10" L7 that is alright but it isnt as loud as I want and the factory truck box and doesnt really fit the passenger seat is pretty cramped.

JL 10W6

Internal volume is 0.75 ft3 (ported box)

Port is tuned to 28.5 Hz

Boxed was built to JL specs on there website for a JL 10W6.

but have never built a box before.
This is my first complete build.

That box is down firing correct?
Yes

This box would be much larger for JL 10W7.

Port is 30.6 Hz

Volume increases to 1.50 ft3, double the volume of a 10W6.

Who does it sound
Box is not installed yet since the whole cab is currently still having sound deadner and Ensolite installed.

i would think that you just need a better amp. that L7 should rock that cab with out a problem.

I am under powering it by little bit. I have a 400.1 Kicker Class D from when I had a L5 and then upgraded the sub. I was looking at the 750 kicker makes or the 500 JL makes. I beleve my subs rms is 600 so the 750 makes me a little nervous. Do you know of a better matched amp

600 rms 1200 max! your 750 kicker is not going to make 750 rms. no where near that, all the time. i would do a mmats 800 on it or a jl 500/1 which is under powering it still. but the jl or matts amp is going to make it hit way way harder than the kicker 400. the kicker 750 will run it. i just am not much of a kicker amp guy.
