Although I didnt really plan on ever running 9's myself, the first pass I ever made in it was a very surprising (OK AMAZING) 9.9 (VID HERE)

There's faster Turbo L's out there (most are Race Track Only L's), Dave London has ran his streetable SC L to a 9.8 with his old set up, soon to be bigger and badder. So to answer your question my truck with Evan driving still officially holds the record at 9.742 @ 138.76 MPH set on 11/20/06, (I am very surprised no ones beat it "yet")

As for mine,
Mine's a normal weight "plus" Lightning with no cooling tanks, no batt relocate, (stock suspension with QA-1's and Drag springs). JDM Built+Tuned with a BTS Tranny. I drive it to and from the track, swap tires and rims, and run... I also drive it each and every day (weather permitting) to and from work, around town, you name it... I also use 93 Octane on my 24/7 street program and C-16 on my Race/Nitrous Tune. I hit it with 100HP of n20 but for only 4 sec's of the run. Mine is set up like this
I floor it.....
For 1/2 second I have nothing (1/2 second delay so I can dig in)
Then "Start Power" is 50% (50HP since I use 100HP jets)
For the next 1.5 seconds it builds from 50% (or HP) to 100% (or HP)
So now 2 seconds into the run I am now at 100HP
6 seconds into the run I have it set to go to Stage 2 and drop to 40% (40HP)
SO in a 10.0 run I have 1/2 sec of nothing, 1.5 sec's of 50-100hp, 4 secs of 100HP and 4 secs of 40hp

To tell you the truth I hope I never spray it again, but the dam peer pressure around here is tuff
That's interesting Rob. I have my 100 shot set-up almost the same way. Except for the .5 delay and reducing it to 40% at the end. Why do you ramp down the shot at the end? Safety?

Why do you say you hope you never spray it again? Do you not dig the nitrous?

It is much more likely to have a problem in high gear under the highest loads. Also, there is little to gain by pushing all out at the top of 3rd gear.
It is wise to back down the nitrous unless winning a race is that important. We have too much invested to try to squeeze an additional 1/10th at high risk.

As in my post above, we are racing again in a couple of weeks at a better track and it should be cool so I expect Ricki to get a 10,xx this time if the conditions are good.

So Ricki boy, you are No.2 for a few more weeks.

Here's a question, who has the fastest HD outside the US
Hi again! Have been in the garage today, got the engine in now. while continue tomorow and ready to fire it up on wendnesday!
My tuner is back from the US 25 September and hopefully i will be able to take it to the dyno then.
It would be interesting to race it in England, but i am afraid it will be short of time. I have been waiting for this block for a while,so i think i am not ready to take it to the drag strip before next year since there is no more race here now.

Hey Adam you would not be busting my ***** eh buddy

I was interested to see what other UK / European Lightning / HD Trucks are running. ???
Still plenty lots more to come out of that JDM motor yet and I ain't even got
a bottle of spray....

Would be good to get that truck over for next years SVt meet though.
Still I have the Rebel "Tough Truck Challenge" 2 door crown at the moment.
maybe I should go and get me a 4 door truck too

What I meant Rob..... if anyone knows the answer you would.

I really do have to apoligize I truly didnt realize you said OUTSIDE the USA
Sorry...

Siggen the motor looks AWESOME Good Luck and a Lightning install to you

And Ya what Jim said, if anythings going to let loose it's ***** out in 3rd gear.
"YIKES"
Let me say there was a HUGE DIFFERENCE going from 11.9's straight to 9.9's
if you think your running out of gear now wait to you go 140 MPH in 3rd with 3.73's in it
I think I had one eye closed just waiting for SOMETHING, hehehehe.

As for my comment on spraying it, I know I need the perfect day, perfect temps, perfect track, and correct prep work to run the 9's, (or continue to). I also think running them to that limit on a full weight truck more than you need to is just asking for trouble. All I'm saying is I rather just go out there and have fun running the 10's off spray and save the n20 for those special occassions when all the moons are in alignment : o ) hehehehehe...

What me?

Ok, get a 4 door as well but you can only spend in mods what I have spent. Then we'll see

Siggen

We race all season in the UK and would love to see you over there next year.
There are 2 big Euro events. Andre holds the Euro SVT meet in Germany every year and we put on the UK SVT meet with lots of track action.

Pictures from the UK SVT meet here http://www.nhtoc.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=974
