JDM 90MAF/ newest chip, VS. R9/ 80mm
NO FLAMES INTENDED.
I just installed JDM's latest program for the 90 MAF. Here's my take: The R9 had gobs of bottom end torque, (Enough for 100 foot burnouts at will) But felt down on power at the bottom of second, & in third gear. Which is why my best mph was only 103.xx. The JDM setup, is down on power at launch then the power comes on STRONG. At 30mph in second, it pulls much better. I'm happy it's programmed this way, because at a stop light you can punch it, and you get minimal wheelspin. You can hear the tires all the way through first, but at the limit of traction. The R9 just boiled the tires in first & made street launches very tricky. The new chip helps maintain control of the truck at launch, then will press you back in the seat & holds you there! That's the street side I haven't tried the race side yet, or taken it to the track. The truck is much better from launch into third gear. It doesn't seem as thirsty on gas. These are the only mods on it so far, more coming soon. JDM, YOU ROCK! Lloyd

The grin never fades. I'm waiting patiently for the oval TB, & lower pulley. This trucks gonna scream! I'm sure it will do a 12.xx now, without the other stuff. Lloyd P.S. I drove the truck a little more, the power comes on about 3,000 rpm. It feels like a muti valve engine. It shifts at about 5100 rpm, I just can't believe it's this much stronger without the high rpms!
