I think the 2000 lights use three bulbs and the 2001's only have 2.

2000 are a 2 bulb design and yes they do fit. I have them on mine... They look awesome.

Actually I do not like the 2001 lights and want to put the 2000 lights on a 2001 if possible.

 

I have a set of the 2000 taillights I'm trying to get rid of. Brand new. Dealer ordered wrong thing.
