Hey SIVER X, The 20x9 chrome rims will not be ready to ship until mid or late march. so you have plenty of time to reserve a set. if you do order remember to mention the club discount for us. the backspacing sounds correct but I would ask Terry to make sure. I am about 2 hours from englishtown but I am not into racing my truck. where are you in n.j.? later 95rcobra.

Hi, I'm new on the board but been following this post since it started. I'm very interested in the L 20" rims and have reserve a set already from Terry. I have 20" right now but the front wheels are sticking out a bit from the fenders. Do you guys think these rims will be flush on the 98EXPY? Thanks in advance.

Hey BLACK FX, I don't know what the offset is on the 20 inch rim you have now is and how wide also, but the 20 inch lightning rim is 9" wide. the reason this was done is for more applications of the wheel. this rim will fit F150, Expedition and Navigator. so being a little narrower than the 9.5 wheel and a 12mm offset it will match the same position as the stock wheel. I cannot see how that would stick out past the fenders. So tell me did you reserve the chrome 20's and did you mention the club discount to Terry? also did you order the discounted lug nuts set. let me know. thanks 95rcobra.

95rcobra...yes, he gave me the discount on the wheels and lugs. I ordered the Silver finish. Now I'm really confident in getting them. Thanks again.

Hello 20 inchers, It is getting near the time for the 20's to arrive. I cannot wait. but first let me tell you that I will be getting tire/wheel combo prices for anyone who might want that. the tires will be select though and not sure of what brands yet. but the price will include the mounting and balancing of the rims and tires. I stopped at my custom tire shop today and he said it would cost around 40 bucks a wheel for mounting a 20" and to do a speed balancing on the latest tech equipment. not cheap for quality work. I will post the tire/wheel combo prices in the afternoon tommorow when I will be speaking to Terry. thanks 95rcobra.

LS CHICAGO, I don't have the exact # for backspacing but will get back to you with it. these 20x9 wheels are 1/2 inch shorter than the stock L rims but the wheel will sit on center exactly the same as the 18x9.5 . the reason they went to a 9" wide rim is to cover more applications than they would of with a 9.5" rim. this wheel will fit any f150, expedition, and navigator. thanks 95rcobra.

LSCHICAGO, The backspacing on the 20x9 inch replica lightning wheel is 5.5 inches. It will be centered in the same position as the stock 9.5 inch wheel. later 95rcobra.

OK 20 INCHERS, Got some info on the tires for the package and here it is. the brands of tire available so far will be Goodyear, Falken, Nitto, and BFG. goodyears will be the 275-45hr-20 eagle gt II which is on the harley d f150. they are $185each. the 295-40zr-20 eagle hp plus are $290 each. the 295-40vr-20 eagle f1 gs emt's are $350 each. the 295-40zr-20 Falken is $325 each and the 295-40zr-20 comp t/a zr sss is $320. these are not tirerack prices but I did not expect them to be. Terry will mount and computer balance all 4 wheels and tires for $50 dollars. For some it will be easier and less costly including myself to get the wheels and tires both out in cali. and then just put them on the L. If I buy tires from tirerack I will get better prices but to get those 20's mounted and balanced at a good wheel shop with the right equipment runs about 30-40 bucks a wheel here in nj. so there is a tradeoff. I will have more tires to post by friday night after I speak with Terry. thanks 95rcobra.

the 20x9 lightning replica wheels are for 99-00 L's only. they will be available within the next 2 weeks and many of us have reserved sets. if anyone still wants to get a set they can call Terry at Classic motorsports at 626-914-7725. just mention the club discount to get 10% off the chrome wheels and 5% off the silver clearcoat. performance will only be affected if you change the diameter size of your tire. later 95rcobra.

OK, for everyone who has reserved 20 inch chrome or silvercoat lightning wheels here is the latest update. Production and finishing is 2 weeks behind that is what Terry has told me. originally the wheels were scheduled to be done and start shipping by april 1st. now I am told that the wheels will be finished by april 15th and will start shipping around april 20th. unfortunately it is the busy season for the wheel business and there is no recession in chrome or custom wheels. just a small price to pay for what will be making some of us L owners a little better looking. I still can't wait to see these 20" chromies on my L. thanks 95rcobra.
